It is excellent worth for money. The food was excellent, served in the classical royal dining area. The entire staff was courteous and welcoming. The complimentary tour of the palace helped to learn its history. We were glad to take our pictures in this palace surrounding and also with the huge portraits of the erstwhile rulers. It was revealing to know that this palace was made modest because Maharaja Takhtasinghji diverted funds for this palace to construction of a local hospital as was the need of the hour. The last Maharaja Krishnakumar Singhji was the first ruler to handover his Kingdom to Gandhiji to shape a united India after independence in 1947.
