The food was great, huge portions or big buffet. It’s on a part of the game reserve with no dangerous animals so you can walk around safely. We saw ostriches, antelopes, hyrax and hare while walking or looking out our window. It’s part of a nonprofit that’s working to preserve and protect animals while working with the local community. We did the “Behind the scenes tour” which was really interesting and fun, loved the baboon walk! Really glad we stayed here!

The owners, Chris and Chrisna, were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. But perhaps the highlight of our stay was the dinner we had at Windhoek Rural Self Catering. It was, without a doubt, the best meal we had on our entire Namibia tour. The food was absolutely delicious, and the setting was perfect - we enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the mountains while savoring each and every bite.
