Tromso was fantastic.
Tromso was fantastic. Plenty to do, lovely walks, friendly people, lots of restaurants and shops. Really beautiful. Just make sure to pack plenty of warm clothes for the winter! I would definitely recommend visiting Tromso if you get the chance. a unique, beautiful city. We travelled to and from the airport by taxi which was easy, but seems there are also lost of local buses. The centre of town is extremely walkable. We booked a Northern Lights tour while we were there and we were lucky enough to get to see them! Something to note: we travelled over Easter weekend and quite a lot of the shops and restaurants were shut due to the holiday. There was enough open for us still to be able to eat out and the small local shop was open.

MAGIC PLACE we had snow a fantastic car a nice place fantastic host and great guides . a super supermarket with fresh fish and superb meat .. plenty of veg we saw the Aurora borealis twice, one even from the terrace at home.. the reindeers free and in with the SAMi people. we did few short drive around to see the fiord at day and night.. ( well we had 3 jh light a day we rest we had twice dinner out in Tromso and in Skogfiords we had super company for chasing the first night the l nordic lights called Wandering Owl ..all was magic .

Examples of great places to see and experience here...: Fjellheisen mountain once weather is good, Botanical garden was beautiful, Bus & hurtigruten round trip through Lyngen mountain area, Folkeparken once weather is good.. just to relax in the sun and observe surrounding nature. For great bakery and coffee, visit Backstube Tromsø. For drinks and food at a terrace or nice indoor dining in old repair workshop, visit Maskinverkstedet restaurant. A nice cellar restaurant for good service and quality food, visit Walter & Leonard restaurant next to Tromso domkirke.

Tromsø is a great city with plenty to do and see.
Tromsø is a great city with plenty to do and see. There are the usual tourist shops and good restaurants. We hiked up the mountain ( cable car hadn’t started its season. ). We saw the Arctic Cathedral and the gateway to the Arctic Arch . The people are friendly . We even went to a Soccer Match where Til the local team won - it was great fun.

The best thing about Tromso are the views. I was lucky, the weather was hot and I got to enjoy a lot of beautiful surrounding places to visit and eat out. I'd definitely go back again one day soon.
