Other locals we chatted with also said the boss is well-respected on the island. The rooms are spare but very clean and functional. The beds are firm but I prefer them that way. The staff was kind enough to let us stay a little later in one of the two rooms after our boating activity. The staff speak some English though activities on Orchid Island are usually entirely in Mandarin. We did boating, snorkeling and an underground house tour through Banai and the quality of the excursions was good.
