Mario was a really excellent host . He was very warm and welcoming. Instructions were clear regarding how to access the property and the list of recommendations regarding good restaurants was much appreciated. The room was spotlessly clean , with tea / coffee making facilities , a fridge and a super shower . The location was excellent, within a few minutes walk from the Vatican and was within walking distance of the city centre .

Podere Orto Wine Country House provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 29 km of Duomo Orvieto and 45 km of Mount Amiata. A true 5* experience ! A wonderful, welcoming place to stay. Our room showed endless attention to detail illustrating impeccable taste, from the samovar kettle to the beautiful light fitting in the bathroom. Breakfast was a highlight, served beautifully under the vine covered trellis. Local produce underlined Simonas ethical world view on sustainability. The owner, Romulo, met us early and allowed us to stash our luggage while the room was being cleaned. The price was exceptional and we will certainly stay again next time we travel to Rome.
