After reading some of the reviews , I was pleasantly surprised to see that they did take note and improved them. I.e. the internet was the fastest on our trip, the room had a TV, AC and we had continuous hot water. The manager was really helpful and involved in answering any queries we may had. They have a small common area where you can relax upstairs. Breakfast was really good in the downstairs cafe and prepared on time for our early departure for diving . Indeed there are stairs as the rooms are on the first floor, but you can leave any diving equipment on the ground floor . We even went back to the cafe part after our diving trip to enjoy the coffee and the fast internet .

Made you feel safe, in a place that can sometimes make you feel on edge, especially if you’re from the western part of the world. Great staff who were very helpful with questions etc, and also booked our transfer to the airport. Nice spacious room for our stuff, and to relax in. Was also clean, which is always a plus. Couldn’t particularly fault it for what we paid, and the area we was in. Also not far from the main Jetty to book island hopping, around 20 minute walk.

We stayed here twice! not only did the wonderful English-speaking staff store our luggage safe and sound during our Mabul island trip, but they made our room ready for a very early check in after our boat returned. the location is excellent, a short walk from the pier (our boat drop off) and just down the street from the bus to kota. the hotel is very clean, comfortable beds with nice sheets, great AC and WiFi. Really appreciate water to refill bottles (and reduce single use plastic). shared bath was clean and never crowded. an exceptional budget option!

The house is equipped with air conditioners in all 3 rooms and living room, water heater in both bathrooms, wifi, cuckoo water purifier, automatic washing machine, fridge, kitchen utensils, even automatic water pump to keep the water running. The owner installed one cctv outside the house angled towards the gate for safety reasons.

I liked that the ac was brand new, the shared bathrooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable, and they even had an outdoor area to hang up clothes that we needed to dry. It's also very centrally located with lots of restaurants around and walking distance to the piers. Plus best of all, they helped us book a snorkeling boat trip to the islands including hiking up the mountain on Bohey Dulang. We did our research and their price seemed in line with everyone else's price, so it was even better to have them arrange everything for us and be brought to where we needed to be in the morning. Overall, we had a great time!
