JamboHouse Lamu is set in Lamu, 300 metres from Gallery Baraka, 500 metres from Lamu Museum, and 500 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum. Best place in town. We had such a great time. Arnold is so helpful and you can ask him everything. He has the best tips , what to do. The breakfast is really good and Fred is such a lovely person. Its in the middle of the town you can reach everything by walking. Should we come again to Kenya we would stay there again. Thanks for everything

Had an amazing stay - place is beautiful but it was Amani and the staff (including the amazing cooked brekfast) who helped us get around and made the trip worth it!!

Away from the HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF LAMU. There is a great restaurant next door With delicious food and you can always pop over to Sheila (5 min boat ride) for some activity if you feel too quiet on the island 🏝️ 👍

Kijani is a charming little hotel in Shela, well located to discover the village on foot, and the nearby islands by boat. It has everything one needs for a perfect holiday; provides a quiet and peaceful backdrop. We loved the flexibility of management (even with last minute issues), return boat transfers included in the price, amazing breakfast and restaurant. Fantastic staff (management, reception, cleaning team, restaurant, kitchen, guards, in short: EVERYONE): kind, attentive, all while being respectful of privacy. We have stayed elsewhere in Lamu and Kijani truly stands out. Thank you.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Banana House and Wellness Centre is located in Shela village, Lamu 2.7 km from Gallery Baraka. The property is set 2.8 km from Lamu Fort. Beautiful big room with lovely views from the terrace. Great location, quiet and walkable to the beach, restaurants etc, with a really nice spa right across from the centre. Staff very helpful and supportive with arranging tours and trips.

This historical Arabian-style building is located in the UNESCO-listed town of Lamu. It is less than 300 metres from the seafront and 3 km from the white sandy beach. We loved everything. The serenity of this old Lamuian House is very welcome after a day of exploring Lamu town and Shela. The staff was super welcoming and the food was exceptional and wholesome. The sustainable concept of the hotel with strong focus on farm-to-plate was impressive. If we ever make it back to Lamu: Subira is where we will stay (keep it up)!!

Umma House has a terrace and is situated in Lamu, within just 400 metres of Lamu Museum and 500 metres of Lamu Fort. Guests staying at this villa have access to a balcony. Incredible space with even better people. First, even before we arrived, communication with the host (Tarik) was impeccable. We always felt we were in good hands and that rang true from the moment we arrived especially with the housekeeper Farid who was absolutely excellent and was on top of every need we might have. I should take a moment also to say that the space itself is STUNNING. Absolutely gorgeous with many, many beautiful details. Truly a hidden gem of Lamu.

Situated within 100 metres of Manda Beach and 300 metres of Shela Beach, Shela Bahari features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Shela. The pictures don’t do the property any justice. My room had the perfect view for the purple hues of the sunset. The food, room, location was perfect. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and he was very inviting. I felt like I was at a family home instead of a hotel….the intimacy of the hotel was peaceful.
