We loved the surroundings and staff. Rooms are a little older, but very clean and comfortable. Pool was really nice and well maintained. River tubing was fun, but a little hike to get to the entry and exit. We rented a car and drove from Belize City. Was easy to find, but road to the lodge was a bit rough and steep. Missed my AWD/4X4 on the last 2 miles. Meals there were excellent. We did not do the all inclusive. Overall it felt like a land based cruise where our family could do individual things during the day and we could meet up for meals and time at the pool easily.

You have a private riverside seating area as well with the option to swim. Two cute dogs will welcome you in the morning and when you return from a tour or dinner. Ant it comes with lots of extras: strong wifi, washing machine and dryer, super comfy towels, a hammock, many kitchen devices. The owner is friendly and quick in responding, there is the option to book tours, and Albert, the caretaker of the house, is very friendly and helpful. If you are in this region and the cabine is available, book it!

Lower Dover Jungle Lodge & Maya Ruins se nachází v destinaci Unitedville a má restauraci, sdílenou kuchyň, bar, zahradu, terasu, venkovní gril a výhled na řeku. Location is top tier, we get to go the sleep and wake in the jungle. There are many trails around the camp where you can hike, go for a swim or just discover the ruins. Staff is friendly and helpful (Maddy drove me back to the bus stop), food was tasty, there is hot and drinking water, beds are comfortable ! I highly recommend you to stop at Lower Dover, you won’t regret it :)
