There was no worry as the wonderful driver had my name written on a placard and had traditional garlands to receive us. The front desk was efficient and welcoming and the rooms were a delight. The space was well managed and the veranda was such a wonderful design over looking a soft lawn with bright blue sea just a bit ahead. Yes, the western coast line was a brief walk away and the view of the sunset was breathtaking. The location was a perfect one with the main town and swimming area just a brief walk away. Even the tour operator found it so convenient to pick us up. The break fast was so appealing and adequate while maintaining a good taste. They had adequate drinking water supply with a good kettle for tea and coffee. But the best part was Ms Angela the young lady who looked after the reception and the housekeeping. Her positive energy and helpful attitude made my wife and I truly happy with the stay. Well done Team Takarua Lodge. I recommend this as the best property in town as it was truly the best value for money too.
