My partner and I stayed here for two nights, and would have liked to stay two weeks if we had the time. Tio is such a lovely host as is all the staff. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and help us out with anything we needed. The room was super clean and comfortable, the garden is so beautiful and lovely to relax in, the food is tasty, the coffee was so so good, and the museum and grounds in general are lovely to explore and spend time in. Highly highly recommend staying here if you are anywhere around lake Toba!

The view from the balcony is amazing. The family, who runs the place is super friendly, polite and helpful. The beds are big and the mattrass is firm and grwat to sleep in. The bathroom isclean and modern.

The lady is the best cook in Sumatara! She makes very good quality dishes, local taste. We rent motorbikes there and asked for laundry service, nothing was a problem. Where to start with the things we liked? First of all, the staff of Romlan is very friendly and helpful. They even helped us with calling and getting to the local pharmacy to get some medicines for sickness (one of us got ill and they called the pharmacy that was closed due to the Sunday Service and they opened up the pharmacy for us). The food and drinks of their own restaurant were amazing and very tasty & variable; good price value as well! The location of Romlan is also good: the boat drops you off at their pier and all the things in Tuk Tuk are on walking distance. The views from the rooms and restaurant are amazing. If you want to hire a scooter bike you can without signing for anything and you don't have to fuel up the tank (when you get the bike, the tank is full). A free refill water station is available and also some tips & tricks about the surroundings of Romlan and the transport options from Lake Toba to other places like Berastagi or Medan. Definitely recommended to book your stay at Romlan when you are looking for a place to stay in Tuk Tuk.
