We spent two days and nights on this felucca. One can not imagine how peacefull place it is. One you entered felucca the time stops. The crew was so calm and nice, the felucca was perfectly clean inclouding toilette. The food was delicious. Everything was just perfect. Must do if you visit Egypt.

- very nice felucca, just as we expected and well equipped (mosquito net, plaide, cushion) - Ahmed cooks very well, preparing good meals and breakfasts + often offers us tea and coffee - Kind and benevolent crew, especially during a swim in the Nile (especially when there were 2 of us girls). - Wonderful scenery: we saw lots of animals and greenery, a welcome change from the big city.

This was my second Nile cruise with Journey To Egypt, and Mohamed as my guide, and he was still so many new things to see and learn and explore. Mohamed is an incredible guide, he has so much knowledge and experience, he answered every question we had with kindness and humour organised everything from the time we landed until we departed. Staying at Farah Camp (not a hotel or guest house, a felucca!) can be described as an unfiltered felucca experience with its positive and negative aspects. Let's start from the highlight, Mahmoud, an incredibly nice and smiling young man who is the captain, cook and tour operator of the boat. His positive energy will make your day! The felucca is directly on the Nile, just next to the Makani restaurant, and so, pretty conveniently located. We stayed two nights in Aswan as we did not want to leave the city, but you can arrange with them if you want to move. If you stay in Aswan, ask to move to another quieter location to sleep, as the original location can get pretty noisy overnight. For us it was the first experience on a felucca and we loved it. Having a coffee on the sundeck, slowly sailing down the Nile, or just looking out on the river life was a remarkable experience. There is a small stove on the boat, so Mahmoud can make you coffee or tea, or even cook you a dinner or lunch. The felucca has electricity, enough to charge your phone, but we would recommend to take a charged power bank.
