This was the ryokan experience I was looking for, in a modern setting. From the moment we pulled the car in the parking lot until the moment we left, omotenashi was the key word. Our room was super clean and had a great view over lake Hamana. The onsen had a similar view as well from the open air bath. The staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was excellent and in the neighbourhood you'll find small restaurants offering the local specialty: unagi. The large majority of the staff only speaks Japanese, this wasn't a problem for me as I speak a fair bit of Japanese, but keep your translation app at the ready if you don't.

There is a very well equipped kitchen and the common area is nice with free coffee and tea and Mangas and books. There is a boulder wall too. The staff is friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable and the showers are clean. One train station that connects to the main train station is only about 5 min away.

It's located upstair of an art gallery(?), not far from Hamamatsu station. I can walk around to restaurants and bars easily. I was a bit confused at check-in since there're check-in tablet at first floor. But once you checked-in online, you can get directly to the room and use the keycode sent in private message to unlock the door. The room is spacious with 4 beds and kitchen table. Bathroom and toilet are separated. Love that there's a space for dressing in the bathroom.

Spacious room looking on to the lake. Lovely quiet area for a walk at night. Free bikes for rent so you can go see what Hamamatsu has to offer. Top bloke that runs it and is so helpful. The clam miso soup on arrival was great.

I came here on a bicycle trip. I am not Japanese and from my European point of view, I was very happy that I found this little gem of a hotel. Very good hospitality service at the desk. The dinner (extra) was just delicious. You can use the onsen bath 24/7 and it's great. My room was simple but had everything I needed - fridge, toilet, kettle and tap water. Guests can pick up their breakfast (included) at the front desk and not only it also was delicious, it kept me well fed to crush kilometres on my bicycle for most of the day. I loved staying there and would recommend it to everyone!
