The hotel is at 3 mins walking from the main road and the bus stop, and 5 mins walking from the beach. All rooms have a little balcony, some of them have a hammock as well. The rooms are spartan in style but they have everything you need. The wi-fi works perfectly, unlike some other places where I have been. But the true asset of the Bavarian resort is the staff, in particular the owner, a gentleman with smiley face. Faisal is the perfect host. A part from being very helpful and generous, he makes you feel at ease, to an extent that you think to be in a friend's house, and not in a hotel. He also cooks tasty Middle-Eastern food(hummus, home made bread and etc.) perfect for vegetarians and vegans. All in all, great experience and even greater value. Don't hesitate to book this place, especially if you are on budget!!

This property was located close to town and all the restaurants as well as the most wonderful little swim beach! Kevin was an incredible host and the rooms were large and clean! As we traveled out of season breakfast wasn’t provided, but we were able to use the kitchen to make ourselves meals. Highly recommend this property!

A hidden gem! My husband and me loved this place. The host is very welcoming and will help with anything. We've been there for a whole month and couldn't ask for more: fully equipped kitchen, sleeping room with air con, an own backyard with lots of palm trees, beautiful sunrises and a big deck upstairs. The house is actually at the beach, so you can watch the ocean anytime. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place.

Private location, extremely helpful and polite owner and staff, authentic Sri Lanka beach life vibe, everything was clean and tidy, Iroshana helped us with just about anything we could think off from arranging breakfast, barbeque dinner, recommending surf bays and trips to conversations about Sri Lanka ways of living. Was a bit sceptical about the place because of a very few reviews, but they are newly open and it's a really good place to stay in Arugambay. Booked 1 night, but stayed for 2 more. The place is near main street, but not too close so it's not too noisy. The room I had is basic, but with everything you need for a short or longer stay. They even allow you to use their kitchen to keep and cook food if you like to. Breakfast is common Sri Lankan dishes, but is tasty and plentiful. Guys working here are cool and will help you with anything you need. Enjoyed my stay!

Really nice place! One minute from the beach and 15 minutes from whisky point (surf spot). Kind and always available staff. The owner organised for us the Kumana Safari (just two of us on the Jeep), the Lagoon safari and the road trip to Ella, everything without commissions. We also tried the restaurant and was really good, always fresh fish and fresh fruit.

    Nice breakfast with attentive service, quiet, calm with nice communal area under veranda in beautiful villa. Lots of birdlife and occasional monkeys in the garden. Room was clean and nice size. They have a great same day laundry service. The host and the staff are very helpful and true gentlemen.
