Everything was perfect. The host was so so so nice. The place was relaxing. There was a swimming pool, can swim and take sunbath. I like to sit at the sofa beside the pool, read and enjoy coffee and the view of the valley. The host recommended serval restaurants, all were good.

We loved everything, this is the best place we have ever stayed. Fantastic service, and view. Everything has been thought of so that you can relax as much as possible. I must also mention the food, both breakfast and dinner were excellent. We can't wait to go back.

Quinta das Susandas is an amazing and recently renovated property in a beautiful and peaceful land, ideal for taking some break and rest from the city life. The rooms are spacious and have all the comforts you need. The staff is polite and gentle, always available and willing to make your stay enjoyable. We were welcomed by Marcelo - who is managing the family-owned property - in a very pleasant tour of the property, which included a taste of their own produced Porto wine (also available in the bedroom) and some tips on what to visit/do around. The property is located in a strategic position to explore the Douro region. The only regret is we stayed only one night.

    I spend about 3 months a year staying in hotels around the world on holidays. Quinta do Bosque is one of those rare hotels/villas where u can’t find fault! Everything superb. Beautifully decorated, outstanding breakfast, comfortable mattress, soft sheets and they also provide a set menu for dinner (changing daily - local produce) which was fantastic. Thank you so much for having us, we will be back!

    We had a private room off to the side of the main house next to the pool. It was quaint and just perfect! The view was priceless. We were able to choose the breakfast brought to our private patio each morning and everything was delicious down to the fresh squeezed orange juice. We highly recommend this iconic villa in beautiful Duro Valley. Found a lovely quinta for wine tasting at St. Teresa winery just a short drive away.

    The location was perfect. The view from the villa was fantastic. We had a excellent stay at this villa. It was very quiet. The breakfast was really nice. Our host was perfect. We have never had a host like this before. Helder was so kind and always there for us if we needed something. We will definitely go back and we can hardly wait.

    If you want to get away from it all for one or a few nights the Casa is a great location. Nestled in a small village (narrow roads!!!!!!), it overlooks the Douro valley. The host is a wonderful lady and we highly suggest you join the community dinner. Had some lovely home-cooked meal with a couple from Quebec. The staff are awesome, especially if you speak a bit of German. The grounds are ample with lots of plants.

    A beautiful place with a stunning view! Wonderful room, well design. Beautiful pool also! Go to Cafe alegria just beside to meet a nice gentleman and have a good glass or port! *I would recommend to bring your food as there is no restaurant and no restaurant close by... even by car, the one's in the village near by were all closed.
