The beach of Pera Yialos is 1 km away. Very good sized room. Cleaned every other day. We were given on the spot anything we might have asked for. The view was magnificent; we could spend a lot of time just admiring the castle just sitting at the balcony. The girls at the reception are very kind and helpful with awesome attitude to anything you ask for. Breakfast is awesome and worth waking up early! It can have small variations from day to day, but everything is homemade with local ingredients as well and that makes the great difference.

Especially the homamade cake and local pastries were really delicious. Giannis is so friendly, and helpful. He recommended a lot of nice local restaurants, nice beaches. 100% recommended.

The pool is also really nice, even though it's a stone's throw away from Μπλε Λιμανακι (Blue Harbour beach) and Maltezana beach, and a few hundred meters away from Plakes. The hotel is conveniently positioned in the middle of Astypalaia, so it's easy to drive west to Chora and drive east to other beaches or Vathi.
