We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we left with a heavy heart. The hotel has been designed beautifully, a good size bedroom (6) with a wonderful view and a large and very functional bathroom. Matteo and his staff were all excellent and the location is ideal in Cannobio, at the quiet end of this charming town.

A delightful, tranquil location interrupted only by chimes from the bells from the local church (stops at night!), birdsong and cuckoo calls. Gignese has bars, cafes and restaurants and is within walking distance. Stresa with its lakeside promenades, shops and many restaurants is 15-20 minute drive away.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Gambiasso! The Isolino apartment was perfect—clean, beautifully furnished, and the views of the lake were absolutely stunning. Our 1-year-old daughter, Ophelia, loved gazing out at the water, and our dog, Luna, enjoyed the spaciousness and comfort of the apartment. The recommendations provided by our host made our stay even more memorable. We truly hope to return one day and will definitely recommend this special place to our friends and family. The breakfast was delicious and more than enough. The pool is big enough to swim and also very clean. The floating couch is so comfortable, I could have spent my whole vacation on it. There are many interesting things to visit around, all main attractions of the area are nearby, but you need a car. The owners are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful.
