Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Magical place , magical experience!!!

Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The view was amazing, the dinner was very varied and tasty, it had around 10 different small dishes with different types of Japanese foods. We also went to onsen that was clean and enjoyable. The shuttle bus was very convenient - hotel offering an evening ride to see the Torii gate lighten up and the we went there again in the morning after checking out and once we were done sightseeing hotel delivered our luggage to the port and we went back to mainland.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. Great place, staff was friendly and always willing to help.

We booked two rooms for our family of four. We were pleasantly surprised how spacious they were, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The host was incredibly kind, he suggested the best places to eat and buy locally produced lemon pastries, and when we were leaving, he brought his cat, Tiger, and waved goodbye to us. As we were on a three-day bike trip and only had our small backpacks with us, we loved the fact that everything was provided: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, tooth brushes, toothpaste, mouth wash, etc. In each room there were even a couple of bottles of water and everything for making tea and coffee. In the common spaces there was a microwave, guidebooks, manga books, and a wall full of Toso Maps of the Shimanami Kaido trail. We will definitely book Bed&Cafe Onzo again next time we bike the Shimanami Kaido!

Host was very friendly and helpful. Nice communal areas. It felt open and roomy compared to our Tokyo and Kyoto tiny hotel rooms. There are three bathrooms and showers which was enough, and there was a nice place to sit and have coffee by the pond. Really nice view. Free tea and the kitchen/fridge is available to use. Free laundry machine and powder. About 50 steps of steep hill to the building, which was totally fine - you can't get the view without going up!

Private, great views, nice rural feeling. This is an exceptional property for relaxing. We stayed 2 nights and had a great time.

All the amenities were spot on, and even the shared bathroom was really clean. Koji was super helpful too. The island is beautiful and really well set up for tourists had an awesome time!

滔々 倉敷民藝館南の宿 toutou, Mingeikan Minami no Yado se nachází v destinaci Kurašiki a nabízí ubytování s bezplatným Wi-Fi. Absolutely loved our stay here - felt very luxurious with some nice touches like heated floor tiles and automatic toilet lid opening! There’s also plenty of room and a gorgeous view to the river.

We stayed in the town for 3 days and 2 nights. This was overall our favorite experience in Japan (among Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hakuei). The hosts were very hospitable. Once we arrived, they helped us plan the itinerary, recommended places for dinner, held a tea party, and also helped us book a restaurant that needed reservation. On our way back, they also drove us to a further train station, with a few short stops for additional sight-seeing. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable, and we could adjust the temperature with air-conditioning. The room felt very traditional (which was great). We slept on Tatami mat. The town itself was also very nice. The Detective Conan (case closed) part of town was very exciting, but even after the museum and themed restaurant/shops closed, the rest of the town was still very charming. We enjoyed walking around and taking in the beautiful scenery at night. In terms of getting to the town, we actually didn’t purchase the train tickets until one day before traveling. We asked our previous hotel and train station information to help us get the tickets, and there was no problem traveling to the town.
