It was one of the best stays I had in the whole of Sri Lanka. The owners are incredibly sweet and also very nice to talk to. We chatted about almost everything, they cooked us amazing food and I really felt part of their family. Can’t wait to get back and stay there again!

We loved the location of Wanakaset Forest glamping right in the heart of the forest which afforded us amazing views of the hills from our balcony room. The food was plentiful and delicious and the ladies in the kitchen incredibly hospitable. We ventured out on a trek with Banda who was passionate and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area. We would highly recommend a stay in this forest sanctuary.

Our stay with Anushka and his family has been a highlight of our trip! The moment we arrived we were welcomed with coffee and cake (and beer!) and from that point on felt so incredibly well looked after. We also enjoyed two delicious evening dinners with dishes cooked by different members of the family, and they even rustled up a cake for our friend’s birthday :) Anushka himself is knowledgeable and engaging and we learnt so much about Sri Lanka and its recent history. He is also an excellent guide and can organise everything needed for a day trip. Accommodation is basic but perfectly comfortable and we loved our elevated eating deck where you could watch the fireflies from a distance. 2 nights was not long enough, we look forward to visiting again some day!

I went with my mother and father and they were thrilled to see the enthusiasm of the host and this was our first day stay after we landed in lanka. truly a great way to start our Sri Lankan Trip. If anyone is interested in hiking, there is a view point Saradiel Rock close by. We recommend this place to anyone who wants to feel free with nature. We would be very happy to come back someday!
