The bed was comfortable. The excellent breakfast was served on a covered terrace, again with fantastic views across the valley. There were lovely sunsets. It is on top of a hill so a little difficult to access. I had a motorbike so it was easy for me, but if you are relying on tuk-tuks some of them won't go all the way to the top, which leaves you with a short but very steep climb to the accommodation. This would be hard if you have a lot of luggage. Best to contact Shiraz the owner as he can arrange a tuk-tuk to the door. The reward for being on the hill is peace and quiet and a lovely view.

The host was a wonderful gentleman who made sure my stay was an excellent one and provided me with useful information during my stay. He even arranged my transfer to Trincomalee which I appreciated. The room itself was very comfortable with a fan that kept the room at a nice temperature as the nights are cool.Nice bed and good hot water pressure.

The hospitality is outstanding! I rented a scooter and got dropped off at the train station at the end of my stay! I’ll come back whenever i’m in Ella!
