There is also a popular coffee shop just around the corner. There is ample parking and Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station is 25 minutes away. There is also a bus stop close to the guesthouse. All staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. We were given a welcome drink and a delicious freshly cooked breakfast.

Hotel Föhrenhof se nachází v poklidné lokalitě u lesa v obci Farchant, jen 3 km od Garmisch-Partenkirchenu, a nabízí sluneční terasu a zahradu s krásným výhledem na hory Zugspitz a Wetterstein. The lady at the reception is super sweet, very very friendly, kind and joyful. And then is the cook of the Gasthof, very friendly man and the schnitzel sandwich he gave us as welcome was perfect because right after that we hit the mountains just before sunset. The breakfast is amazingly good (please don't miss their self-made marmelade, cake and yoghurt), and we also had the opportunity to meet another member of the staff who also was super friendly and kind. The place has a beautiful decoration and the room is spatious, clean, the place is very quiet, and the bed comfortable.

The 4-star superior hotel has been family-run since 1634 and offers an indoor swimming pool, various saunas, steam baths, a children's playground and a cosy lounge. Great hotel! This was our second booking. Excellent room size and facilities! Child friendly! Spa area for families (with clothes) but also for adults only. Big pool and Jacuzzi. Playroom with pool table and other games Excellent food incl. the menu for the kids! The location is great. The mountains are close by as well. Very recommended hotel!

I arrived on a motorbike and the team were kind enough to let me park on premises. I did take an unnecessary detour enroute and dropped the bike. Marco from the property came by to help me get the bike up. The food was simply amazing, coupled with the ambience of the property and the surrounding trees and the mountain.. perfect. The room was spic n span. The ensuite toilet and bath appeared rather new and well kept. A shout out to Marco for his timely help, Eleni for the warm welcome and the team on premises who made the stay a memorable one. Definitely visit again, only this time, without any detours
