When we arrived (which was late due to traffic) we were greeted by the enthusiasm of the host, he helped us with parking and was very excited to show us the place. We felt very welcome. There are private bathrooms which you can book to bath with your friends/family, one of the best thing about this little gem in Atami:) I was surprised by the cleanliness and the comfort level here. it’s a newly refurbished building, it has three floors with a spacious living room/common room on the second floor which is shared by all the customers here. The room comes with a standard toilet and a shower and quite spacious overall. The tatami bed is comfy. Other reviews complained about the location, but because we drive we think it is an amazing spot! It’s 3 min drive from the famous shrine, and 5 minute to the ginza where there is lots of restaurants and shops. You can also see the fireworks display in the living room if you come on the right times:) We didn’t get the youthful and energetic host’s name, but thank you so much we had a great time staying!!

Rooms are huge and clean with all equipment to cook if wanted. Felt like a local living in Japan as the place was spacious and very cozy. Breakfast in the morning was great and they have welcome drinks. A few mins walk to the bus station, can literally walk over buy tickets and come back to the hotel for breakfast.

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. We went as a group and we loved the ryokan. It was very spacious, everything was very clean, and it was conveniently located near the bus station, the train station, and the city center where most of the shopping takes place. The rooms were the most spacious we stayed in throughout Japan, and the staff were all very kind. I would definitely stay here again.

HOTEL AMANEK HidaTakayama se nachází v atraktivní lokalitě v centru města Takajama a nabízí pokoje s klimatizací a s bezplatným Wi-Fi a soukromé parkoviště. They helped me recover my phone and packaged it up wonderfully and sent it in to my next hotel.

さかのみち-sakanomichi se nachází v destinaci Nakatsugawa a nabízí bar, nekuřácké ubytování a bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách. Jen 300 metrů odtud je Magome Observatory. We had a fantastic trip to the Kiso Valley and to Sakanomichi. The hosts, Ken and Yuki, were absolutely lovely and made us feel so welcome and comfortable! You very much felt like a cherished guest in their home. Such a lovely couple! Having now done the hike between Magome and Tsumago I would definitely recommend staying in Magome (which seemed to be the less popular choice when I was researching.) Tsumago was so charming but seemed much much sleepier - Magome is already very quiet and quaint with lots of charm. Restos/ cafes and shops in Tsumago seemed to close early or if they had sold out leaving you less options in the way of food or snacks. Not a deal breaker but just something to consider. Not sure if this was to do with the time of year - we were there in early March - but Magome was hardly bustling in comparison. Sakanomichi was lovely, beautifully finished with comfortable amenities, gloriously warm showers after a cold days hike! Ken and Yuki thank you for everything! Also, definitely pop to Hill Billy Coffee in Magome if you have time, its well worth the stop in! Delicious coffee!

The host is very friendly and considerate. Sufficient and useful facilities and amenities. Public space is big and lovely. Free bicycles is a plus. Would love to stay again.

Everything, upon arriving and entering the lobby then into our room the surroundings already felt super relaxing, even more inside the room where all you need is available from full skin care, comb, body towel, coffee, black/matcha, different type of pillows (firm/soft). We didn't get the chance to try the onsen, breakfast was great as well. Options of japanese and western sets for each person. Check-in was smooth and the concierge was super helpful.

伊東山荘-Toki- se nachází v destinaci Ito a nabízí ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, terasou a wellness centrem. Chrám Shuzenji je 30 km daleko. Beautiful place. The owner was very accommodating. Rooms were Spacious and spotless. Would highly recommend

Location was central but a little difficult to find at first. Beautiful apartment. Whilst we didn’t interact with any staff, the self check in process was simple. We would definitely recommend.
