We recently had the pleasure of staying at S and D homestay in Nuwara Eliya and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly and helpful owner and his amazing family, who ensured a warm welcome and served for us delicious lunch (the dining experience was truly a delight). One of the highlights of this homestay is its’ beautiful view from the terrace: you can sea the Lovers Leap waterfall and tea plantations (walking distance). The room is spacious and cosy, even with the patchwork rug on the floor. There’s also a nice common living room. Overall, our stay at S and D Homestay was exceptional. The combination of the hospitable family, delightful meals, beautiful view and the refreshing cool air made it a remarkable experience.

The accommodation was a new build and finished to an exceptional standard. The beds were the most comfortable of our stay in Sri Lanka, even Netflix and Prime were provided for those who wanted to have a good choice of TV stations. There was plentiful hot water and air con and WiFi functioned perfectly, not always the case in other places where we stayed . In our opinion, the food and service could not be faulted, and Suresh, the owner, was an impeccable host, and provided a very personal service. The accommodation is out of town but easily accessible by a short Tuktuk ride. It suited our needs as we welcomed a chilled stay. Thank you Suresh and your team for everything. Gill and Nick

Staying here felt like visiting a close friend rather than just booking accommodation. Madu’s warmth and kindness made our trip unforgettable. The villa was beautifully maintained, and when the evenings got cold, he immediately brought us a heater to keep us comfortable. He was always there to answer any questions and went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. His recommendations for places to visit were spot on – each one turned out to be 10/10. It’s rare to meet a host who puts so much heart into everything, and we’re so grateful for the experience.

Alex is more than welcome he took great care of guests. I stayed in suite which was very spacious, comfy bed and warm blanket. Nice view of tea plantation, dinner was delish. Cozy Heaven se může pochlubit výhledem na hory a nabízí ubytování s zahradou a balkonem. Gregory jezero se nachází přibližně 4 km odtud. This was an amazing cozy stay with the absolute sweetest family. They helped me out with transportation, planning out what to do in Nuwara Eliya, and the food was amazing! The location is really central too. I was really happy here, I can’t recommend it enough.

We loved our stay at Shevyhaws, and would love to stay there again. Chaminda and his family are wonderful guests, they could not do enough for you. Breakfast was delicious and had everything from fruit, to toast, jams and omlettes to curry and roti and pancakes. Accommodation is a bit away from town about 2.5 km, but that was not a problem as Chaminda gave us rides to and from town at no cost, whenever we texted him. He recommended a delicious vegetarian restaurant. He organised daytrips with his 4x4 Jeep at very good prices including the Horton plains, and some tea plantations and waterfalls. The Lovers leap with it's beautiful surroundings is 15 mins walking distance from Shevyhaws. Shower wàs hot and powerful and bedroom was spotlessly clean and included warm cosy blankets for the colder nights. Would strongly recommend to anyone considering.

Majitelé jsou moc hodní a ochotni lidé. Se vším dokážou poradit. Lokalita je velmi vhodná pro návštěvu vodopádu LoversLeap a návštěvu Pedro továrny na čaj nebo cestu k jezeru přes čajové plantáže. Do centra je to pěšky cca 25 min. Což pro nás nebyl žádný problém, navíc jsme se cestou stavili do blízkého marketu na nákup. Ale majitel má vlastní tuk tuk, který jsme za velmi výhodnou cenu využili jako odvoz na nádraží do NanuOya. Snídaně velmi bohaté i s místními specialitami. Využili jsme možnost večeře, která předčila nese očekávání. Majitelka je výborná kuchařka! Pokoj je velký, velmi čistý se spoustou úložného prostoru. Plně funkční koupelna s teplou vodou zase velmi čistá. I přes chladnější počasí, nám nebyla zima, protože k dispozici jsou dvě teplé přikrývky. Pobyt určitě stojí za to!

This is very valued for money, staffs are very friendly, acommosating and provided lots of tourist information. I also do love breakfast ! I have very good time here. Thanks
