Boasting a patio with garden views, a private beach area and an outdoor swimming pool, Kingfisher Lakeside Retreat can be found in Trafalgar, close to Trafalgar Beach and 1.6 km from Palm Beach. It was a great breakaway for me and my son. If ever you feel like a 'Robinson Crusoe' vibe then this place will tick all the boxes. We enjoyed the deck overlooking the stream and the ability to cook outside. We also enjoyed the proximity to the sea and one has the whole length of the coast to explore at leisure. Best of all, and this was quite a surprise for me, was the internet connectivity. I would have loved to have spent a few days working from there with connectivity like that. We were warned about the noisy frogs, but we loved this symphony at night. Actually as we now live in the Netherlands looking for natural sounds to stream is the closest we can get to the real thing. So, definitely best experienced for real!

Located in the Manyoni Private Game Reserve in the north of KwaZulu-Natal, this intimate tented bush camp offers an open air boma, a bar and an outdoor pool with sun loungers. Absolutely stunning! What a treat. Even more beautiful than the pictures. The location, the styling, the food. And the best of all: the people. We had the best ranger/guide with so much knowledge (Roland) and passion about the environment. Each game drive was special. We saw all the animals we loved to see. But even without that it would have been great. This place with these people is a hidden gem. I truly hope we will have the opportunity to go back once more. If I would be able to give higher than a ‘10’ I would. Thanks so much for hosting us.

Zululand Lodge is located within walking distance of the Msineni River and offers accommodation on a private wildlife conservancy near Hluhluwe. The Zululand is like a little Island in the Wild but completely fitting in. The Main tent, the Pool and the Panorama View are all in walking distance from the tents, however you still have your good Privacy. The Sleeping tent is is prefectly placed with the right amount of space to keep cocy but comfortable. The Washroom units are solid and hygienic. Overall good for slowing out in the wild and absolutely worth it.

Luxury Tented Village @ Urban Glamping offers luxury tented accommodation in St Lucia. There is an outdoor swimming pool and large BBQ area where guests can mingle. The host is the best!! The rooms are comfortable and still gives you a bit of that camping feeling. The location is also great.

Kosi Forest Lodge is privately tucked into the tranquil sand forest alongside the Kosi lake system, located in the Isimangaliso World Heritage Park. The property was amazing , the staff paid attention to detail and were so kind. The food was exceptional and the various activities offered were great
