There are all conditions for a comfortable stay - there is a refrigerator, TV, tea/coffee making facilities, a safe, a terrace, a kitchen equipped with a microwave, a gas stove, a toaster. Cleaning - every day. You can take a walk around the grounds and in the garden. Each guest will have internet access, you can upload photos, send a file or call your family by video. If you have a car, you can leave it in the parking lot. If you get there on your own, they will help you arrange a transfer. Within walking distance of the beach, shopping centers,seafood market, restaurants, cafes, public transport. If you are traveling to Cape Town alone and want to meet people, Hout Bay Backpackers is the best choice. In addition, South African hiking, by and large, is concentrated in the Western Cape Province, in the vicinity of Cape Town, here. My gratitude to the staff of the hostel, especially the manager Tristan, for solving the non-standard situation with payment and language problems. Abigel and her team (family) are superb hosts. Wholesome, generous, freshly prepared breakfast, nothing was too much trouble, even the 6h30am breakfast pack full of our favourite treats was delicious. Beautiful and convenient location, gorgeously designed and decorated rooms, we were spoiled and can't wait to be back.

This really cool ‘cabin in the woods’ is a home away from the busy Hout Bay and Capetown! Beautiful views on Table Mountain from the deck and room. The bathrooms with shower also offer a direct view on the surroundings. Comfortable with good amenities such as kitchen and honesty bar. The road to the cabin is tough without a 4x4, but an adventure :) Sven is a good chef!

Blackheath lodge exceeded all of our expectations. We stayed here for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon, and we were so impressed by the staff and accommodation, that we ended up booking into their sister hotel in Franschoek because of our experience in Blackheath Lodge. We were greeted originally by Riano who was very welcoming and friendly, and he kindly sat with us and went through our plans for our time in Cape Town and helped us to create an itinerary of what we'd like to do while we were there. He was also very helpful at booking trips around Cape town if we wanted to do them. For the other days in the hotel, we had the pleasure of dealing with Mimi, Simon, Grace and Comfort, all of whom were so friendly and welcoming. Mimi helped us to plan some of our days and booked dinners for us and Simon gave us great recommendations for Hermanus. The service was exceptional, honestly felt like we were at a home from home. Our room was beautiful and clean, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious each morning. The location is ideal too - just a short walk from the sea front and you can safely walk along the sea to the V&A which is about a half hour walk from the hotel. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone wondering where to stay in Cape town for the first time.

    The serene setting of this establishment is absolute heaven. It is quiet and tranquil. It is 100% family friendly and so many things for the kids to do. Beds were unbelievably comfortable, and chalet was extremely clean. The hospitality of Mark and his family was exceptional, and they never hesitated to go there extra mile for me and my family.

    Waterland Lodge exudes serenity and tranquility. Comfortable bed and luxurious linen, fully equipped kitchen. We had absolute privacy in our chalet even though it is attached to another, we did not hear a peep from next door.
