This is one of the best places we stayed ever! Definitely worth 10/10 in Booking.com ranking. Quiet, isolated area, stunning view all over the mountains from the altana and dining room. Perfect home made food (big portions!). But - it all depends what you need. You will like this place as we do only if you want to escape from the touristic, crowded areas looking for tranquility and nice people. This is not the place you will have easy access to the restaurants, shops and other city attractions. The road to get there is also a bit tricky to navigate and takes a while to get there from the center of Mojkovac. The accomodation in bungalows simple, but not overpriced. But the view, atmosphere, idyllic surroundings and warm welcome by the host is unbeatable. And the owner resembles famous French actor Jean Reno :) Travel tip: you can consider going by train from Mojkovac to Virpazar and back (just drive 4 km down the road and leave your car on the free parking at the station). Such excursion will offer 2 big attractions: visiting Shkodra Lake (enough time to hire a boat or organized boat trip) plus travel by train itself along the most spectacular railway in Balkans. Doable in one day without rush, just take the train from Mojkovac to Virpazar not later than 7.00 AM.

The hosts are very pleasant and hospitable, the food is incredibly delicious, we didn't stay long, and we will definitely make an effort to come to Lanista again if we have the opportunity on our next trip, and this time for longer than one night, because this kind of hospitality, the beauty of nature should be enjoyed and felt without haste. Tara Riverside in Mojkovac is a peaceful and beautiful place to stay. The location is perfect – right next to the river with stunning views and fresh mountain air. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, ideal for nature lovers. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the stay even more enjoyable. I had a wonderful time and would definitely come back. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

The two nights we spent here have probably been the highlight of our holiday. We are a family of 5 , with 3 kids and we travelled here without many expectations. We arrived late in the evening and the amazing hosts waited for us with a wonderful dinner and big smile. Food was amazing, all home made and truly delicious. The landscape is exceptional, immersed in nature, stunning nature. But the best thing are the hosts: so welcoming, warm, happy to make us feel good. We slept in the little house which was clean, as the outside toilet that we shared with the really nice people we met there. Thank you Stoika and Sveva and everyone else!

If you want a perfect stay, then this is the right place for you! Dragan (the owner) welcomed us with open arms (and with his homemade apple liquor). He was super helpful throughout our stay and is a very kind person. The lovely home we stayed in was completely made by him, and it showed all the love and dedication he put into the place. We were surrounded by horses, dogs, chickens, and also a beautiful river where you can go swimming. The lake of the national park is only 10 minutes away by car, and everything else is easily reachable from there. It was peaceful and quiet, and it is also perfect for children since there is a zip line and some games to play! We also recommend the horse tour that he and Milica provide there. We unfortunately didn’t have time, but it is possible to ask Dragan to make dinner for you a few hours in advance. The interiors were clean, well kept, and spacious! We cannot recommend this place enough.
