I can't really say enough positive things about Amanda and Les, and their beautiful property. They were exceptionally welcoming, and cooked us a delicious meal (South African-style braai), for dinner - which had been arranged beforehand. They (and another guest) joined us for dinner, and we all shared stories and laughter. The property is a bit of an oasis of peace, with glow worms to view at night, for those who wish to seek them out (they're fairly close to the main buildings - try the Night Sight setting on your camera). The bed was extremely comfortable, and we enjoyed the best sleep of our journey. All in all, a great experience...and a great overall value.

Our accommodation was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The location was quiet and the owners and staff were very helpful and friendly. We had a small issue with one of our motorcycles and Mr Diederik lent us some tools to fix it (it worked!)

Viietärnihotell Pukekura Motor Lodge asub vaid 2 km kaugusel New Plymouthi kesklinnast. Easy to book and the motel manager made it a great experience. I liked the welcome book in the room with local attractions and included menus from nearby eateries.

Location, size, view and facilities all top notch ✅ Hosts are very hospitable and friendly and we felt like we are at home. Highly recommended in spite of somewhat challenging road conditions to and from the superb property.

What an outstanding place to stay a few nights. Spacious, modern, with a beautiful modern touch. The pictures sure don’t lie. Stunningly no sunsets and if you are standing on that front porch with your coffee you almost have that feeling you are in the hobbit’s Shire. Very short drive to New Plymouth and Taranaki Maunga.
