South Point Self Catering was extraordinary and above all expectations. Originally we had booked the 3-sleeper apartment. However upon arrival we found the apartment, and especially the regular double bed a little on the small side - we are a very tall family. The fantastic host, Hillary, let us know that the upstairs apartment was available for a small additional fee, and asked if we would like to take a look. The upstairs apartment is phenomenal - more like a full home than a self-catering apartment. The apartment takes up the entire floor with large comfortable living and dining area, full-size kitchen and two spectacualr bedrooms, one of which is ensuite and a backyard balcony with braai area. It was all exceptionally clean and well kept. From the balcony and large windows on the front side of the apartment you have a panoramic view of the ocean and iconic Agulhas lighthouse. Even though the building is situated at the road you hardly notice the road and cars from upstairs. We loved the apartment so much that we stayed 2 nights rather than just the original 1 night. Walking distance from the lighthouse, southern point and even the iconic shipwreck in the Agulas Nature Reserve the property's location is perfect. And a few minutes the other diection you have a wonderful little supermarket and restaurants. We recommend to take a drive to the neighbouring Struisbaai and have lunch at Catch & Cook restaurant for fantastic seafood and beach vibes atmosphere. We will definately be back!

This retreat is located in quiet Swellendam in the foothills of the Langeberg Mountains. The spacious rooms feature modern décor with rustic touches and living areas with flat-screen satellite TVs. The room is very comfortable and stylish We enjoyed the bathroom TV has a lot of channels Town is about a 15 minute walk The room was very cold without a fire going, but an electric blanket was provided! Nicely stocked kitchen The pool looked very appealing, but it was too cold for us to use it

Saxon Lodge a bed & breakfast in Gansbaai, which is known as the ideal location for shark cage diving and whale watching. I was made to feel so welcome from the moment I arrived by everyone and it was such a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere - nothing nicer than listening to the waves breaking especially at night. Ninja the cat also came to make sure that I had settled in properly. The breakfasts were great and the cooked breakfast arrived hot - the tea was also hot when it arrived. The Lodge is also central to everything and within easy walking distance.

Situated on the cliffs of De Kelders, a popular whale-watching spot in South Africa, Sea Star Cliff offers luxurious rooms overlooking the sea. The lodge features a terrace with outdoor pool. Very friendly staff who helped us with all our questions. Not only were there good recommendations for dinner, which is only possible when eating out, but they also checked for us if there were any seats available and made reservations. Since we were traveling with our children, there was an upgrade so that we could all be right next to each other. Without having to ask. The view from the balcony is incredibly beautiful!
