United Kingdomwe had an amazing 3 night stay over new years. What an excellent location for a relaxing break. The history of the building and golf course was very interesting and added to the charm. It was an excellent base for exploring Tasmania from Hobart to Lake St Clare. we would love to return and play another round of golf here! Buffet breakfast was also 10/10. Exceptionally welcoming hosts - we couldn’t have asked for more!

AustriaWhat a unique, wonderful, stunning place!!! We felt very privileged to stay in such an extraordinary place. There is so much to discover, so many lovely details to enjoy. I totally loved the old phone, the staircases, the romantic dining table, the atmosphere!!! And then one of the most beautiful terraces I have ever seen, so lovingly created. We were lucky to spend a sunny afternoon outside, what a luxury! And beautiful gardens... WOW!!!! Ah yes, the biggest coffee machine we have ever seen, oh and the coffeeeeee.... 😍

The advertising information was misleading.
The advertising information was misleading. I thought I had booked an apartment in the yellow house on the corner. On arrival I found it was a little brown cottage. It would be helpful if apartments 1 & 2 were advertised separately as they are quite different. Photos too gave a false impression. After 3 days at the east coast, coming up to this Scottish...
After 3 days at the east coast, coming up to this Scottish looking town was a beautiful change. We loved being back in the colonial times- Buildings, architecture, bumblebees going about their business, fruit trees in town (plums and apples just there hanging over fences). Almost no one on the streets. We had a 40 min walk in town then stayed at Ratho Farm (loved it)(excellent old-world charm, with clean and new bathrooms). Its like going back in time.
Its like going back in time. Its peaceful and relaxing, There is a good pub that has delicious meals and nice cold Beer. There is a place called Sealy's that serves plenty of scumptuos food to choose from and a Golf Museum and old buildings, its worthwhile going there for a decent rest. Away from the rat race. An historic glimpse of Scottish early settlement in Tasmania. The homestead was where we shared the evening meals and we were regained with stories from the past. If you love Outlander, it is the closest thing to River Run, minus Jocasta in Australia. The homestead is built on the River Clyde. You can put your feet in the bubbling stream and see the Hairy Moo Cow in the back. The 200 your old Oak trees are majestic and there is a story to be told if you are interested in history of the first golf course in Australia, Ratho farm is a good place to stay for a night on your Tasmanian adventure.Guest review byJanyAustralia
