Burnie has many worthwhile places to visit.
Burnie has many worthwhile places to visit. The beach and walk tracks are fantastic. WestPark Garden Centre and Secret Buddha Cafe are fabulous places to visit if you are a gardener, even for just a look. My favourite plave is Bunny Island, a traffic Island on the Bass Highway that has Black and Brown Bunnies. The best restaurant we have visited in Burnie is Uday Palace Indian Restaurant at 77 Mount street. Born in Stanley, raised in Burnie.......what's not to love about the NW coast! My advice is to Google youtube for videos of people driving around Burnie and nearby towns. There are many videos to choose from. Visitors note how the pace of living in Tasmania is more relaxed than Mainland states, and the citizens are warm and welcoming. Enjoy!Guest review byDavid - 10.0

Clean separate cabin, fully equipped for a family of 4 to stay long term. Beach a short walk and a heated private pool an even shorter walk away. You can easily see the small penguins from the walkway at the top of the beach as night falls. Wallabys visit the rear of the park at night and are easily observed.
