Great start point for our Wildflower trip , Coorow farm is just up the road , we missed it 2 years previous , glad we were told about it from Coorow pub this trip , town is very quiet and clean , one little grocery store . We bought cheese and nibbles and sat on the balcony .

don't bother unless you like to stay in an old fashioned room with no coat hangers or a wardrobe and bathroom. shared bathroom and toilet not my idea of leisure travel. the only saving grace were the 2 Bar staff that took our drinks and meal orders. really friendly and helpful.

The Coorow hotel is a lovely old rustic building. Lovely clean rooms, bar and dining areas. Very well fitted out and I would definitely be happy to stay there again. The town is very neat and tidy and seems like a friendly small country town. We enjoyed our overnight stay.

Coorow is not a tourist town.

Coorow is not a tourist town. They cater well for them, but it's more like we (tourists) are given a window on what a rural working community is, which is the way it should be. The Coorow Hotel is the only pub/restaurant in town and the locals gather there often. Friday night was obviously a family night with young families coming for a drink during happy hour and either having a meal in the beer garden and inside dining rooms or taking away one. During the week, the patrons were a mix of local men and rural business men and women as well as road maintenance or harvesting-related workers. The town location was perfect for my exploring day trips around the area, helped by the packed lunch service provided by the hotel, which gave me more freedom to go as I pleased. The fuel depot also had the cheapest unleaded fuel price around, which was a bonus. I wanted a change of pace and scenery and I got it and some!
