AustraliaGreat location. Beautiful cottage with superb views. The cottage was cosy and well appointed. It was very clean and there were nice touches all round to make us feel very welcome. It was nice and quiet. Only a short drive back into town. We can definitely recommend Peppertree Hill.

Gulgong is a gorgeous little village, steeped in history.
Gulgong is a gorgeous little village, steeped in history. There are pubs with roaring fires, and interesting little shops to explore. All the locals we encountered were really friendly and ready for a chat. The pubs offer delicious, hearty, (large!) meals, at great prices. There’s a big IGA if you need to buy any provisions (even it has kept the old-word character of the village, as it’s housed in an old ‘merchants’ store!) Just one thing to be e aware of though is that a few of the shops only open towards the end of the week, and on weekends. I’d recommend a trip to Gulgong to anyone.Guest review byLyndaAustralia - 8.0

Old gold mining town with a wonky main street and lots of well preserved historic buildings. Don't miss the Gulgong Pioneer Museum and the wonderful Holterman Museum. If you like browsing different shops go to Stacks Downunder- so called because it is located under the local supermarket. A selection of outstanding museums in the context of a beautifully preserved historic town. The main street is delightful to walk along. Lots of wineries nearby to sample. The Pioneers Museum is interesting & extensive, even though there's a fair amount of repetition. The Holtermann Collection is well worth seeing. The 2 pubs we frequented (Centennial & Prince of Wales) had a good atmosphere & reasonable food. There's a good Thai restaurant for variety. Restaurants & pubs surprisingly busy for a country town. The Drip (Goulburn River NP) is a lovely walk & not too hard; Hands on Rock (up the road from it) rather underwhelming.Guest review byCraigAustralia
