AustraliaStaff were friendly and helpful, food was fantastic. I had an absolutely beautiful steak, cooked to perfection. Shared bathrooms were well maintained and clean and the locals were sociable. There was a young lady singing on the night which turned out to be karaoke as well.
Beer was cold and good prices.
Great photos and paintings of the lighthorse in action during WWI adorned the walls.

AustraliaThe apartment was absolutely fantastic! Exceptionally appointed! Very spacious and beautifully renovated. Very easy to access and situated in a perfect location. If there is any chance I will have to come back to the area I will be on the phone trying to rebook in a heartbeat. Close to the Light Horse pub and Barnes Store cafe that had a great range of GF options which was fantastic as being Coeliac I thought it'd be hard to find something I could eat.

It's a relatively quiet town although events are held there...
It's a relatively quiet town although events are held there or in neighbouring towns throughout the year. We loved the Wool fest/Running of the Sheep celebrations in Boorowa which was close by. The painted silos are worth a look at.Guest review byJarosevskiAustralia - 4.0

This venue was in Murrumburrah, just outside of Harden. It is a small historic town which seems to be being reinvigorated with coffee shops, a good pub and accommodation . Harden township looks very sad with most buildings closed.Guest review byCatherineAustralia - 6.0

Harden-Murrumburrah are twin towns in the central west of NSW. The road through town is wide and parking is easy. The towns have some impressive early 20C civic architecture, a couple of splendid churches, and several comfortable, substantial homes. There is an annual art prize, which is exhibited in the former Court House. We did not visit it but there is a rail museum in the vicinity. The pub is great for a meal; also offers accommodation. A couple of cafes serve quite delicious light meals. There is a special honey shop. Sadly, the towns suffer from the economic downturn that afflicts many regional centres, with a lot of vacant shopfronts when we visited.Guest review byPhilomenaAustralia - 10.0

Great country charm in Murrumburrah and Harden. Murrumburrah has a great little museum which reflects the past history of the region and its connection to the light horse during WWI and Boer War. Great monument to 'Bill the Bastard' which is a 'must do' piece of Australian history to check out. Food at the Lighthorse hotel was fantastic as was the service.Guest review byWalAustralia - 8.0

I enjoyed our stay at Harden, we found everyone very friendly and helpful. I would have loved to see the museum but it was closed. We loved the kabab shop and enjoyed our breakfast the next morning in the coffee shop across from the hotel. We had a lovely Devonshire tea at the Which Craft shop on the first day. We also went for a drive to Cuttamundra and Junee and visited the car factory and the chocolate factory.Guest review byAnonymous
