We like Launceston and make regular trips there.

A cutesy place with lots of history. 1.5 days was enough. Is ok as a base city - not overly great with teenaged kids. Everything in Tasmania seems to attract a fee, which is understandable to keep the parks etc. maintained. Traffic is easy to navigate.
