Great location. Very comfortable room with all necessities. Excellent staff. I could not rate the staff more highly. Good food. Repeat customer.

The highlight of the trip was our guided tour to the Walls of China. Tanya, our indigenous guide was excellent.
Here there is a real sense of the incredibly long time and history of Australia and it's first people. Although the original lake is long gone, the sand dunes that formed an arc around the lake are slowly revealing items that are currently being carefully recorded.
A visually stunning place of eroded rock and varied coloured sands.

We liked the national park & the sunset trip to the wall of china. We ate in the Mungo Lodge dining room but this dining room needs some better decor that would encourage guests to mingle more. Everyone ate their dinner but didn't linger to chat afterwards as we felt discouraged because the fireplace was not lit. We felt that the staff wanted us out asap.We realise its hard to get staff but if it was more welcoming then I think they would get more travellers to stay at the lodge. 2 nights stay is plenty.

the customer service was superb from arrival till departure, first class. The restaurant was very good again with good food and excellent service. The tour with Steve to the walls of China was very informative and interesting. The cabin could have done with a few repairs eg fix curtains and maybe a bit more dusting in corners, yet very comfortable . Aircon effective and not noisy. Highly recommend!
Amazing location, food outstanding, restaurant staff so lovely. Great sunset tour with Steve. So much wildlife. So peaceful and relaxing. Accommodation was good too. Lovely porch to sit on and enjoy the sunset. Highly recommend!

Lake Mungo is an inspiring place with brilliant colours, fascinating history and geology and a must for all who enjoy nature and culture. The lunettes are under threat from advancing sand and erosion and must be preserved for future generations. It is after all our heritage.
