Our room was away from the restaurant and bar, so nice and quiet. Clean, tidy and with everything we needed. The breakfast was a highlight. Very happy.

The food was excellent. The staff were also friendly and approachable so as a single female traveller I felt very safe. The 24-hr restaurant was a lifesaver for my one-night stay. When I finished my gig that night I was exhausted after travel, setup and packdown, and being able to get a decent hot meal at 1am made all the difference. I appreciated the takeaway options the next morning as I had to eat on the run when catching a plane. I have recommended this place to anyone else I know who is travelling up north.

For a first time visitor, Port Hedland was interesting.

For a first time visitor, Port Hedland was interesting. There is nothing much to do (other than walk around the jetty area). The sunset was beautiful, the long walk ways on the beach front was a great way to enjoy the town. Of course you could join tours to go on the water or to the Salt Lake etc.

Fascinating port, really something to see so many freighters being loaded with iron ore. The port has great capacity and there was a lot of small boat activity as well. We had a picnic in the waterside park and could have stayed all day! Red dirt in the air and everywhere was a bit of a negative 👎

We can highly recommend the Seafarers Harbour Tour, but book early as they can only take 13 people each day. Ray's at the Hedland Hotel is the best spot in town to grab a drink and a great meal to enjoy the views over the ocean. The Dalgety House museum is well worth a visit, it's really interesting. The Esplanade has the most delicious and fresh food. Pretty Pool is a great place for a swim if it's hot - but the locals tell us that you should wear reef shoes as there are sometimes stone fish. The new Marina is worth a visit, and you can walk for km's on the coastal walk path located near it.

The girls on reception were very welcoming and helpful when we checked into the hotel. What a gorgeous team and very efficient. Our room was clean and reasonable. It was also quiet which is a big plus for me. It was good. We did do a drive whilst in Port Hedland past the Ibis which I was contemplating staying at and was soooo relieved we chose The Esplanade. Stay at The Esplanade people. It’s 1000 times better than the Ibis. We dined at the restaurant for dinner. Our food was sensational! Presentation and taste was fantastic and we dine out in Perth all the time. Whomever your chef is please keep him/her. We both had the rankin cod with a sambal curry sauce served with green beans and then a salad with goats cheese etc and that too was delicious. The outdoor setting was lovely too at night time with a string of outdoor lights and candles for ambience plus a great playlist of mixed songs old and new. Breakfast was a banquet and good. Sufficient! I had nothing negative to say about your hotel, and this would be my choice for sure if ever in Port Hedland. By the way, your bar staff were so efficient and well trained too. Cool modern enjoyable bar area which also make a great coffee. The hotel was within walking distance to the cbd. A 1-2 minute walk and you are there.

The restaurant was lovely and the meal very good. The service by Raquel and the other ladies on that night was prompt and lovely. They were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The included breakfast was continental with plenty of choice. Cooked breakfast was available at extra cost. The hotel is across the road from a park and was a pleasant afternoon walk. The room was basic and in need of a facelift but it was clean, warm and dry. There's also a pool.

Comfy bed in a great location overlooking the ocean. The accommodation is separate from the pub and nice and quiet. The pub is undergoing renovation and when finished is going to have the best beer garden in Port Hedland. For now it means building works and tradie radio at 7am. The staff are friendly and staying here is real easy. Definitely a good choice to stay in Port Hedland.

This was a surprise. No accomodation in port Hedland. This one came up and is basically a mining camp. However the double room ( donga ) was comfortable and spotlesslessy clean and tariff included a 24 hour mess to eat in. Receptionist was lovely and showed us to our room.
