Very nice classic small hotel, with small but comfortable rooms, well appointed bathroom, comfortable beds, air conditioning. There is a small elevator to get you to your room. The staff is very friendly and are eager to help. Wonderful breakfast room, with a very nice spread of hot and cold breakfast items, Many types of bread, yogurts, cheese, smoked salmon, great coffee machine for cappuccino or espresso. At a reasonable price. Small hotel, so reception is cozy and on demand, like in the old days. If you need 24/7 reception areas or bell hops, book the Hilton or Sheraton. But you will miss out on the wonderful personal experience. Location is superb, minutes away from Biekorf Parking Garage, €16 per 24 hours. The hotel is also minutes on foot from all Bruges attractions. We spent 3 night in 2 rooms early April 2025 and highly recommend this gem to any traveller who appreciates small scale perfection.

Wow! On arrival into Bruges, I was greeted with snow. On arrival at the hotel, I was greeted with the most magical Christmas display I could imagine! Christmas trees, lights, music, beautiful decorations . . stunning! The hotel is perfectly located on the canal and it is easily walkable to restaurants and cafes, chocolate shops, Christmas Markets, churches and museums and other attractions. I arrived at the hotel early and though I couldn't access my room immediately, I was emailed within the hour to say it was ready. I appreciated this. My room 213 was small, but ample for my two night stay. My view each night was the Belfry! The room exuded gorgeous old world charm with a super comfortable bed. The bathroom was well supplied with products, a free standing shower and a wall heater that made drying of clothes simple. I appreciated the still and sparkling water that was provided and Reception staff were happy to refill when needed. I had breakfast on the first morning of my stay - there was a wide variety of cereal, yogurt and fruit, together with a hot and cold food selection and delicious pastries. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were also served in the charming breakfast room with beautiful china. The voucher for a complimentary drink in the bar during my stay and a packet of cookies on leaving were a special touch. Hotel staff were constantly helpful in providing maps, information and booking taxis. This was not my first stay at this hotel and after this beautiful Christmas visit, I know it won't be my last!

Bruges was a stop on the way back from Eastern Europe and it was far more than I expected. It was so interesting historically, architecturally and in so many other ways. Going for a boat trip across down is a must to get another perspective on the town. It's easy to walk around with so much to see and do. I have the Chocolate Museum still on my list for next time... and....

3 nights in Bruges, from 11 am to 4-30,welcome to the crush and the hordes, especially the coaches from the cruise ships. It,s a beautiful charming city but pick your month, food prices were very reasonable and of a good standard, plenty of competition which helps.Boat trip was worth it but we were there at 10 am,queues soon formed shortly after.they are into their horse and trap taxi tour if that floats your boat.went to see the only statue by Michelangelo outside Italy, looked at the pictures and the replica as it was8 euro to see the real thing.

the old town is so beautiful and you need a few days to explore properly. Lots of space and stunning buildings to view. The restoration work is excellent. Easy to get around and car free zones work so well giving a tranquil feel to the place. One of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited.

Beautiful Bruges is a picturesque destination for people who love the arts. There are lots of museums and cultural things to do. Especially its medieval heritage is impressive. Bruges is also good for fine dining. In summer it can be a bit bustling with too many travel groups, but after 5 o'clock when these have left, it's truly beautiful to walk through the old city.

The city is beautiful and full of small cobbled streets and canals. We enjoyed exploring on foot and visiting the many churches and historic buildings. We found something/somewhere new to see every day during the week we spent in Bruges. The Basilica is well worth a visit as is the Belfry in the main square. The Historium is informative and the Cathedral is stunning. The Korean restaurant “Bowls’ is excellent. Grand Cafe Belfort in the main square serves a good range of reasonably priced tasty dishes. I wasn’t keen on the many cyclists who rode through the crowds in the squares and narrow streets. Most of them did not slow at all to accommodate and it was scary at times. I didn’t like seeing the horses pulling the carts carrying tourists. They seemed to be relentlessly worked, despite the temperatures touching 30’ on some days. I did google the regulations on the horses and their welfare and i was reassured a little but , at times, the horses just looked tired and fed up.

Arriving in Calais you can drive to Bruges in half an hour.

Arriving in Calais you can drive to Bruges in half an hour. It’s a very beautiful city. Fascinating medieval architecture. An easy atmosphere and you can walk everywhere - as well as taking canal boat trips or horse driven carriages. There are lots of tourists in the centre but the side streets are quiet. A lot of independent stores and many cafes and restaurants - though we wish many of the restaurants didn’t close their kitchens at 9:30pm! We’ve visited twice and found good exhibitions, a great Hotel ( the Grand Hotel Normandy ) and the best embroidery shop I've ever seen.

A very nice little hotel in old town of Bruges. Close to the central train station and Flibco bus station (we arrived from Charleroi), 15 minutes walking. Right next to the main spots in the old town. Cafes, shops, restaurants nearby. Great view to the Saint Salvators cathedral and a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Clean, new towels daily. And a charming, lovely old scent wich we loved. It has a lobby with a fire place and the possibility to buy some drinks (pretty cheap). Free coffee in the morning. And good price! I do recommend!

The hotel is located in the city centre, a few minutes walk from all the attractions Bruges has to offer. Our room was freshly re-decorated which is certainly a plus, but it becomes a problem when the smell of the paint is still very strong and there is no aeration possible. Also the lights in the room didn't work (except for in the bathroom), which wasn't necessarily a problem since the days are long in May, but still not what you expect for the price paid. Staff was very concerned and tried to solve the issue but with no success

The location was ideal for the train station. The staff at reception were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The bedding on the main bed seemed clean. Early check in and late check out compared to the usual for Belgium. A lot cheaper than most hotels in Bruges which proved to be the most expensive city we visited in the country.
