Gorgeous property with an excellent location! It's a waterfront property with its own dock and two kayaks, my kid and I paddled to the island more than a hundred meters away, a wonderful experience. it's next to the Bell museum, where I have learned a lot about the renowned figure and his times. less than 5 minutes walk to the pier. The staff Carl is super helpful and more than 100% patient and responsible. Carl always gives help more than expected. Having breakfast at the back door patio while watching the great view is enjoyable. btw, many books in the lobby, and some introduce local history. Great stay!

One of the most charming places i stayed in. It was like i had walked into a friend's house - tastefully decorated all the way. It was right in the centre of the town. The ladies at the reception told us what all we could do in the town and hpw best to use our two days. The visitor centre is right across the road and many eateries walking distance away. I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend

Petty touristy town on the shores of a large lake.

Petty touristy town on the shores of a large lake. Available public parking is horrible as there are too many cars for the available parking. The Bell museum is definitely a must see and worth a couple of hours visit. The boat cruise on the Ameba is a very peaceful afternoon activity. The town can be a base for day trips elsewhere if you are lucky enough to have nice lodging. Terrific breakfast and dinner at the Freight Shed Terrace. Many shops and restaurants are close by and walkable.

    Every venue was close.

Every venue was close. “Freight Shed” restaurant was excellent and served the best seafood chowder we have ever had, and we have had seafood chowder all over the east coast! “The High Wheeler deli cafe bakery” was also a favorite for excellent coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. They were friendly, fast and reasonably priced.

One of the best things in town was the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. It was free too. It was full of fascinating history and information. We also enjoyed visiting the market that was open that weekend. The lighthouse is visible but not accessible. The downtown area was convenient for shopping and restaurants.

For its size, Baddeck really has a lot to offer, with great little restaurants - the High Wheeler Bakery was awesome! They have a place where you can hear authentic Scottish music. They have the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. They are next to the Cabot trail. We used the Tripvia auto tour for the trail and it was so helpful - it played automatically as you approached each area and gave the history and what to watch for at 50 spots along the trail.

This was our second stay in Baddeck. We enjoyed the closeness of being in town. A visit to the Alexander Bell Museum is a must. The Cabot Trail is a most beautiful place to visit. The views, the hikes, the unique Scottish heritage are all worth the stay!!

The Telegraph house is a quaint and comfortable place to stay right in the middle of downtown Baddeck, close to great coffee shops, the Alexander Graham Bell Museum and other amenities. It is a few minutes walk from the marina and restaurants. My favourite place to stay in Baddeck. Sean always makes me feel welcome and there is a great restaurant in the main lodge that serves farm to table.

This is a conveniently situated hotel right on the Cabot Trail. Our favourite thing was the view which is just spectacular. Comfortable bed. The host, Vince, gave us some excellent tips on what to see in the area. Plenty of hot water and the room was absolutely spotless.

Nice view of the water both from the room and the restaurant. Spacious room with sofa. Comfy bed. The hotel was described as quaint (and frilly) so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was better/more modern than I had been expecting.
