Coleman, for us, has just been a good place to break a journey from central BC into Alberta. Coleman is 15-20 minutes in all directions from fantastic lakes and hiking. Sparsely populated, which I seek. Blairmore is only a few minutes away on the highway, and between the 2 towns one can find all services and food choices. The Crowsnest past was built on coal mining. There are many interpretive areas and signs that explain the history. Leitch Collieries was informative and historically interesting.Guest review byDawnCanada

We stayed in two bedroom suite and it felt like we were part of the TV show Heartland. Owners very helpful and friendly and great with communication especially as location is relatively straight forward and handy for the Crowsnest highway but not exactly obvious. The owners are really friendly and go out of their way to help. The place is quiet. Yes , there is a train that goes by, but this is Coleman, and you will hear the train no matter where you stay.
