Breakfast spread was good. I like that the food was covered and not exposed to the elements. Room size was good, with good clean sheets and pillows. Heated pool was nice. I like that I can park my car right outside my room. I feel safe in this motel.

The receptionist was very helpful, we were originally allocated a room on its own right by the hotels liquor store. The manager of the store explained that the store was open until 11 at night and her staff would be back and forth between store and room next to ours all the time so it would be noisy although she would ask the staff to try to keep noise to a minimum. When we went back to ask for another room the receptionist was very apologetic - think new and hadn’t realised - she then gave us a room facing the mountains on the 3rd floor. She also rang in the evening to check that everything was ok and asked again each time we passed her in reception.

    Beautiful surroundings of the mountains. This area is perfect for day trips to Banff, Lake Louise and Emerald Lake. Less crowded and less expensive hotels here than Banff. And the drive from Golden to Banff is beautiful.

    Golden is a charming small city located not too far from Edmonton. Though it has a small population, it offers big adventures—especially at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, which is a must-visit. Visitors can enjoy scenic chairlift and gondola rides, and at the top, there's even a Grizzly Bear habitat. You can walk along secured trails with barricades and safely observe the grizzly bear in its natural mountain environment. It’s a unique and unforgettable experience for nature and wildlife lovers. The Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre, located about a 15‑minute drive north of Golden, BC, is an engaging destination for wildlife and conservation enthusiasts. A 25-minute guided presentation at the enclosures covers wolf behavior, conservation, why they howl, and their ecological role. $15 per person and is a Cash only facility. ATM is available with a 3% surcharge on withdrawals.

    What a gem! I didn’t know that Golden had so much to offer.

    What a gem! I didn’t know that Golden had so much to offer. We visited the art gallery and the book store. And had a choice of great coffee. We stayed on the main highway but discovered that the downtown area is very walkable. We enjoyed dinner at the Pint &Fork which was excellent. Our server Trish was a wealth of information about the town. We plan to return because there’s plenty of hiking and cycling trails which we’d like to explore. I believe there’s a trail for every experience level. Thank you, Golden!

    Loved the experiences at Golden.

    Loved the experiences at Golden. We stayed at Lush Mountain Accomodations, so it was in the mountains with beautiful views, but close enough to the town if we wanted to go out to dinner or grab some groceries. The restaurants were SO GOOD, which was surprising in a small town. We did sushi, pizza, and the mountain bistro. I would seriously rank those up with some 4 star restaurants I have been to in larger cities. It is a bit more expensive, but thats expected in a touristy town. Still less expensive than Banff! We took our family to the Golden Golf Course one day and White Water rafting with Wild Water. Both were graet experiences, so much fun, and truly memories our family will savor for many years to come!

    we went to the golden skybridge, it wasnt open last time we were there. it is an awesome place, and we will be back, there were a few other things there we would like to see and do. highly recommend a stop in Golden.

    Golden is a friendly little town, lots to do and see!

    Golden is a friendly little town, lots to do and see! Skiing at Kicking Horse is literally 20 mins drive away. We were in town for a bonspiel and the people were so friendly and fun. Recommended stops: Wolf's Den for supper - awesome staff and great food - get the bison burger! Coffee at the Wandering Fern can't be beat and set aside some time at Bacchus Books - it is so nice and the selection of new and used books is crazy! Staff is so nice and helpful. Run don't walk to book your next trip to Golden!

    Fantastic large suite at a very reasonable price. Used both the outdoor hot tub and the small gym. All facilities well kept and in good condition. Very welcome to see the inclusion of both a washer and tumble drier within the room. Water pressure was fantastic and the kitchen was very well supplied. Could not recommend more. Resort is only a short drive from Golden (which we both really enjoyed seeing).

    Great location, really liked golden. The room and hotel had everything we needed. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Beautiful views and lovely to have the communal areas. Also excellent value. Plenty of parking. Quiet and very comfortable, good nights sleep.
