The design & color palette used across the hotel is bold and refreshing and very noticeable. Very clean rooms with a different design. Breakfast is good. Decent number of options. The staff was taking custom orders for egg dishes - for elderly & kids, which was something new and surprising. Location is good, especially for access to the airport. They have a free shuttle to the airport, Not a lot of shops around but they make up for it with the amount of options (from milk & snacks to electronics) available to purchase at their front-desk counter. Nice lobby with a lot of seating and working spaces. Lobby also has games like foosball table etc. which the kids loved. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We got a room with a view of the airport runway and could see in close proximity flights taking off and landing every few minutes. It was nice for our kids to keep watching the planes, but the noise could be disturbing for some folks.

The location is brilliant. We chose to stay at Toronto Airport for 2 nights, rather than downtown. It is much less expensive and you can delay picking up a rental car and save on downtown parking costs which are very expensive. The Alt is located at the Link light rail station. You catch the Link to Terminal 1, then take the UP Union Pearson train to Union Station. So easy. We then collected our Hertz rental car from Terminal 1 the following day. The hotel is superb. Compact but brilliantly designed room and ensuite. Modern, clean and comfortable. Lovely view over airport but perfectly insulated. No noise. Efficient friendly staff. Simple but excellent bistro provides inexpensive and adequate light meals.

Down-to-Earth City Bordering Toronto

Mississauga is the site of Toronto Pearson Airport, so many visitors to the Ontario capital pass through without even realising. Once a Toronto suburb on the shores of Lake Ontario, Sauga (as it’s affectionately called) is now a city in its own right, though it’s not immediately obvious where one ends and the other begins.

Both have in common the broad horizon of nothing but water on one side and a skyscraper-dominated skyline on the other. The most iconic structures are the curvy Absolute World towers, said to resemble Marilyn Monroe. Over the road is one of Canada’s largest shopping centres: Square One.

More stores are in Sherway Gardens Mall near Toronto Golf Club, just one of many within Mississauga. There is also a staggering number of parks, including some lining the Credit River which enters the lake by Port Credit historic village, home to lots of cafés, restaurants and bars. Salmon migrate up the river, so fishing is popular.

The fact that this was once agricultural land inspired the design of the civic centre, overlooking the Living Arts Centre and the Art Gallery of Mississauga across Celebration Square.

    Loved - the size and configuration of room, closeness to airport and quality of buffet. Second stay - during the first we had a number of issues related to the hotel being newly opened, but they were graciously resolved by the manager. Very annoyed that they still haven't got their "process and systems" fixed so they know which guests have paid for breakfast. Once again you go to breakfast, only to have the concierge tell you your breakfast isn't included even though you have paid for it. Once again standing in line with my family, embarrased that I have to prove to a staff member I have indeed paid for breakfast. Sort this out, the staff are all aware of the issue, they could let guests know its a problem when they check and sort it out proactively so its not an issue in the morning. Or just presume that everyone has paid for breakfast and don't hassle guests to prove they have paid for it. Annoying...but worse for guests who aren't English speakers trying to negotiate for what they have paid for.

    I can't really give great review of the town or city due to short stayed. It's a bit far and cost a bit from the CN tower and other attractions as we used Uber rides as means of transportations to and from the hotel.

    Mississauga is in a great location for a quick shuttle service to YYZ. Because there was construction immediately outside on the highway that the hotel faces onto makes it a bit difficult to find out how to find the entrance, but that will be resolved once the road maintenance is completed.

    Port Credit--the lakefront community of Mississauga--is an excellent vacation spot in the summer as well as a convenient location 20mins out of the city of Toronto by the excellent GO commuter train service. Bring you ice skates in the winter to skate on the artificial ice-path by the Credit River in Port Credit. Lots of places to eat--great variety--but overnight accommodation could use upgrading.

    I did not see much of Mississauga on this trip, but I have...

    I did not see much of Mississauga on this trip, but I have known the city from previous trips. What I liked most were the parks at Lake Ontario where people can relax, picnic, and swim, and little kids can enjoy playing. The city is more or less like any big city in Canada with a nice landscape around it and lots of shopping malls. Hotels and taxis are rather expensive, probably trying to copy Toronto, however with a lot less attractions that would make it worth visiting the city. If you just want to overnight after a long flight, and you have your own car (or rental), it is better to look for a decently priced hotel just north of Toronto (e.g. Markham). I am sure, Mississauga is a lot more attractive for business travelers.

    Our stay was a overnight stay did not get to see much of the city, but it was very clean people were very friendly. Lots of traffic we come from a very small town so that was a adjustment but I would visit again when we have more time. Lots of restaurants to choose from.

Only chenge bathroom towel. 3rd very cold room asking for duvet 3 day in roll they bring me only last day 🙈🙈🙈 4.to far from Toronto. Better to pay extra money for close to town. Is 10 dollars take taxi to the station. Then another 13 Dollar per person for day for train. Never ever worse hotel I found1👎

    It was a very convenient place for us to meet for my friends brief visit to Toronto. She arrived by via rail (for less than a 12 hr overlay) and she took the up train to Pearson and the airport shuttle to the hotel. I drove from out of town to meet her at the hotel.. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was great. At first the overhead planes were distracting but soon they became white noise.

    location is 10 mins from airport by the car and hotel provided free airport shuttle service.. to Toronto downtown it’s 25-30 mins drive from Uber ( average €29-30) in normal traffic… there are many restaurants nearby( including McDonald’s across the hotel).it’s value for money even if you take Uber to downtown

    Breakfast was good, 24/7 coffee available. Located on a main road, right next to the airport. Every place around Toronto was easily accessible from the hotel. Sound proofing of the rooms was excellent as it was almost right next to the airport runway.
