it is a beautiful and peaceful location. we enjoyed the quietness and the ability to be able to rejuvenate. The other guests were very mindful and considerate.

It was cozy and warm with a very serene view over the lake. I sat on the deck and watched the sunrise most mornings. Dog friendly, well-appointed and clean. Also - very nice neighbors. WIFI was excellent. Just a 15 minute drive to Wolfville or New Minas.

The staff were all fantastic. We were late for the dinner my son had booked to join us. I rang the Blomidon Hotel and explained and the staff welcomed them and told them we would be late and we were able to order a wonderful meal at 8pm The Hotel is beautiful and clean and the staff are caring and nothing is too much trouble. We will be back.

    We only had 2 days in the area and wanted a central location...

    We only had 2 days in the area and wanted a central location and New Minas was perfect. Wolfville is just down the road & there were several places to visit there (Grand Pre, Tangled Gardens) but found it too crowded and busy. The second day was spent visiting small towns (Kentville, Port Williams, Centreville, Canning) in the country side (cheese stores, craft breweries, antique shops as well as the Bay of Fundy. Drove to Hall's Harbour for supper (lobster roll) and were home before dark. It's easy to get around New Minas and area and this motel is on the main strip where all the usual restaurants are and Tim Horton's is just across the street.

    Lots of great stores for shopping

    Lots of great stores for shopping Big Stop restaurant was great for lunch and dinner and is within walking distance. Very easy to drive the main road through New Minas. I wouldn't avoid anything next visit. Very easy to get to the rest of the valley,
