The Lakeview Hotel was not as advertised and although we had prepaid for a double room...we did not feel comfortable staying there and went elsewhere. the reception area was cluttered and disorganized; the hall carpet was old and worn and looked dirty; there were several open doors on the floor into rooms full of junk; the parking lot was rutted and haphazard; and in general the hotel looked dingy and smelled musty. The front of the hotel was old and dirty and it looks like the picture on their website was photo-shopped. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone,Guest review byGerryCanada - 10.0

It was smaller than I expected, but very friendly and quaint, and easy to navigate. I had a great time looking through the thrift shop and met wonderful people at the roadside restaurant called Krazy Fries. Food was great too! I was able to pick up all the supplies I needed for my trip, and had dinner at the sub shop on my last night.Guest review byCindy - 8.0

Beach and snowmobile trail enjoyable. Main road set up well with sidewalks; wide area of interlocking stone in downtown area with many benches to suit people of all abilities. North of 17 restaurant had very good food at a reasonable price. The Chinese restaurant was not as good as I expected and they only had take out.Guest review byJane - 6.0
The beach was lovely.
The beach was lovely. The Goose was the main attraction, and that took about 15 minutes. The facilities at this location should be closed. It was really really nasty and stink. The Tim Hortons was closed cause they did not have enough staff on the night we arrived. Subway was awesome. Customers in the Tim Hortons walked around without masks, walked up to the counter and checked out all the breakfast meals that were partially there as they were being setup. This was the last leg of a road trip in an EV Chevy Bolt from Southern Ontario to Northwest British Columbia. The booking was made late when I decided Wawa would be the stop for the night. With a late booking, you do not expect a lot. The room was very nice. Had a great sleep and an early start. Plus a Petro-Canada Fast Charger was close.Guest review byRogerCanada
