From the outside, it looks like many other Swiss guest houses, but once inside, you realise how nice it is. The staff are friendly. The room was very spacious with a large bathroom and a large patio. The food in the restaurant was much better than we expected while still being a reasonable price. In summer you can eat outside in the courtyard. Breakfast was also excellent. There are many great hiking trails close by.

Everyone we interacted with was exceptionally nice. I mentioned I loved one of the cheese varieties they had for breakfast and they even gave us some as a parting gift. The place is spotless, and very comfortable. The location is great for hiking, there are several routes that start in Laupersdorf, and there are hourly busses to other nearby towns, so it was really convenient to start the hike from Laupersdorf, end up in another village, and return by a quick bus ride.

Really stylish. Ideally located. Wonderful staff. Easy parking restaurant is fantastic. The rooms are a nice size (we had a family room). Bathrooms are big and modern / very clean. Beds are extremely comfortable.

Beautiful hotel in idyllic village in the alps. Very kind friendly staff. the range of food was huge but I went for the excellent bistro menu. fabulous breakfast. Dreamy walk in the hills. really recommend!

Perfect location! Nice personnel, good service, very clean room, free fruit drinks and sparkle water in the morning. Cosy atmosphere. A bar of chocolate was found in the morning under the beds!

    First of all, very cost effective. Not expensive, but has a decent size of room, have to say the bed is amazingly comfortable, same as the bed sheet! The hotel is a bit far from the town, which is much better to enjoy the nature. I woke up at 6 am because the bathroom window was completely red, but I didn't go out to check the sun. After we checked out we realized we can absolutely see the whole view of the amazing sunrise! Its a pity we missed it! But hopefully we can go back to stay in the hotel again!!

    We booked Hotel Kreuz at the last minute due to a change in travel plans. Our host was fantastic and so accommodating. If we visit this area again we would love to stay here. We were also very impressed with how clean the whole hotel was

    A charming family run hotel in a nice village within 1 hour drive from Basel downtown. Big rooms, very easy check-in, excellent breakfast. Exceptional quality/price ratio. Very good communication with the owners.
