Easy access to the pools made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay with our one year old daughter. We unfortunately had some noisy neighbors on the adjacent balcony who could not be tamed by hotel staff, but fortunately there was another available room we could move into to get some peace. We found the food and service in the restaurant to be very hit and miss - one night food was good and service was quick, the next food was disappointing and service was very slow - difficult to manage with an impatient toddler at the table. The saving grace was the Magical Tree in the restaurant which bought us several minutes of adult conversation while our toddler enjoyed the toys and played with other children. Saillon is a beautiful, picturesque small village in the french part of Switzerland. Around it one can find numerous vineyards and do wine tastings. The nature is amazing. Not too many things to do but it is a perfect place if you want to relax, do some sports (like hiking, biking or simple walking in the nature) and go to bed relatively early. This medieval town is a hidden gem and we were surprised that not so many people know about it. We stayed at Chez Constance which has the perfect location in the middle of the town. We got to explore a little the area but we wished we had at least an additional day to stay there. Climbing the tower was super cool and walking thru the vineyards was amazing. The owner provided very clear instructions and overall communication was great. He even left fresh fruit for my kids, which was a bonus after a cold day on the mountain.
