Amazing surroundings, calm and peacefull area, with nice gardens and balcony for enjoying the night. The owner was very nice as well gave me great recommendations of where to go, and nice places to visit around, I would definetly recommend this place. Everything. Recommend,, recommend, recommend! We got an instant, free upgrade to a suite. The suite had everything you need, was immaculately clean and spacious. Beds were extremely comfy. Shower was spotless and great water pressure. The balcony and night-time blinds were a great bonus. Considering how reasonable the rates are....the breakfast is absolutely outstanding. So much variety and beautifully presented. The owners are happy and friendly - 10 Stars!

We had a comfortable stay. My mom got strain in legs and staff helped her with bandage and cream to reduce pain. Rooms are big and clean.Smells really nice. Breakfast was served on table so you don't have to run all the time to get stuff.

It was a nice weekend visit of Appenzell. The hotel is located on the main square of the city. We had a good room with a cot provided for free. The room was equipped with comfy beds, bath, wardrobe, a couple of arm chairs and a table, free WiFi. Breakfast was fresh, tasty and with many options. We had a dinner at the hotel and were satisfied with ordered dishes. If you are with small children, you could find some books, colouring books, some toys and entertaining items. Besides restaurant, the hotel has its own bakery / cafeteria, which is open all day long.

    The hotel is beautifully modernised with high quality fixtures and fittings. Rooms are spacious and very tasteful. Staff were friendly and spoke several languages. Food was very good both in restaurant and at breakfast. Lovely location was walking with beautiful scenery. Definitely worth a visit if you can.

    Everything was perfect for a comfortable stay; like the location, apartment and the facilities. The hosts were very friendly and helpful when needed. The village Speicher is very nice, the tram to St. Gallen is nearby and takes you there in 15 min. Directly from the apartment you can walk into the fields or to the highest point with a view over the Bodensee.

    Beautiful room with huge bathroom. Very cosy vibe. The dinner and breakfast in the hotel were fabulous. The staff were lovely - very attentive and extremely friendly.

    The Hotel is very very nice! It was renovated some years ago and it just looks incredible, cosy! The location is good, you can take a tram to St Gallen easily.
