Literally everything! The room was perfect with stunning views and the wood stove was an added bonus. The staff were beyond friendly and helpful for whatever we needed. The food was spectacular and I especially enjoyed the animals roaming the property who appeared very well cared for and loved.

Incredible location, nice (and warm) communal areas and fantstic food each night prepared by chef Venecia. Portions are huge so easy to share meals/starters/mains. On the property itself there’s an incredibly rewarding hike with some of the best views we had on our trip (but you need to walk all the way to the end!). Staff are delightful - a special mention for Belén who is the sweetest!

Located next to General Carrera lake in the Aysén region, Parador Austral is surrounded by native forests with private access to Black Lake.

Best place we stayed on the Carretera austral. Beautiful setting and an excellent team led by Domingo who really looked after us. This hotel has charm in abundance.

The exceptional feature of our cabaña (apart from its size) was the huge bow-window overlooking the lake, like an immense screen: it was far better that watching a film at the cinema, albeit slow-moving! Plus points: very effective wood-burning stove to heat, comfortable dining area.

Very accommodating and generous with my dietary restrictions for the breakfast. The apartment warmed up very quickly with the wood stove. When we had a problem with the lock she resolved it very quickly and moved me into the other cabin while the maestro was working on it. It was a great place for me to do some writing!
