This place is absolutely amazing! The location is a beautiful getaway in a small village near the Great Wall and as a Westerner from Europa, I could not have wished for a more perfect stay to visit the Great Wall and enjoy some quiet time as a couple after a couple of weeks in Beijing/Shanghai. Upon arrival, we were asked what we liked for food and gave our preferences, which in response, we got the best high-quality food that we have had in China. As we were alone on the premises (we went off-season in September) we literally had a private chef cooking with only fresh ingredients from their garden and the best fish from around there. I mean…🤩 Later we got asked to make a hike to the Wild Great Wall where we had some insane views when on top. Not only did the staff pick and drop us off with a golf cart but we got the yummiest/best lunch pack to picnic on top of the wall. When we arrived back from our hike one of the staff members was ready to pick us up with the golf cart and some nice relaxing tea 🫖. We initially thought that the price was only for breakfast but when arriving we heard that the lunch + dinner + soft drinks/water was all included in the price. So in the end we thought it was a true gem for that price with that amount of quality and made us book a day longer. Overall this was one of the best and nicest experiences I ever had in my life in any hotel. Would for sure recommend going here.

Angel and her husband were very welcoming into their beautiful home. The rooms were perfect for our family of four, the location is perfect for the Great Wall and the breakfast was delicious. Angel was a fantastic tour guide, taking us up to the Great Wall and making it a very informative, memorable experience. I would recommend asking her as she also does broader Beijing city tours.

This mountain retreat enjoys a beautiful scenic location near the Great Wall, with rooms located from the base to the top of the hill.

While the price was a little high compared to other places of this standard, you cannot beat it for its location and the serenity of the environment that it is situated within. The staff are great and do their best to make sure that you have what you need and when you need it. The views from the room, if it isn't foggy, are simply stunning and time seems to stand still when you are staying there. Stan kindly provided us with transport to and from the Great Wall and this helped to set up a wonderful day for us.

The hotel is a beautiful property really well decorated. It’s a great place to chose if you have kids. The owner is very welcoming and helpful and her husband cooks delicious Chinese meals. The entrance to the Great Wall is at about 2 minutes walk from the hotel.

I truly have no words to describe how incredible this stay has been. This has been one of the best experiences of my life here in China. It wasn’t just about the location of the guesthouse, though that alone is amazing, being right next to a less touristy and more peaceful section of the Great Wall, perfect for hiking without the crowds. What made this stay truly unforgettable was everything else: the beautiful room, the convenience, the atmosphere, the amazing homemade food (incredibly delicious) and above all, the warmth and kindness of the people who work there. The people here will go above and beyond to help you plan your day, organise your trips to the Great Wall, and make sure you feel completely at home. Their support and friendliness made such a difference in my journey. But what made this place even more special were the people I met. The staff organized incredible cultural activities like dumpling-making, traditional crafts, and karaoke nights that brought everyone together. It felt like a beautiful exchange of cultures and such a meaningful bonding experience. I was so touched by how warm and welcoming everyone was. The people working at the guesthouse made me feel like I was part of their family. I didn’t expect to feel so at home, but I truly did. I will definitely come back.
