The whole hotel is clean and tidy, and the front desk guys and girls are also very enthusiastic and help plan the appropriate route. There is billiards to play downstairs, and there are massage chairs to relax when you are tired of climbing

Just back from a wonderful stay at The Avatar Valley Villas and felt compelled to leave a note. Firstly, the location is absolutely spot-on. Situated nicely between both the Cathedral Gardens and Riverside Abbey, it meant we could enjoy a lovely short stroll to each – incredibly convenient and saved us no end of time. What truly made the difference, however, was the staff. Absolutely first-rate! Before we'd even quite figured out our plans for the day, the concierge (James, I believe?) proactively reached out to check if we needed any help with transport. Not only did they swiftly arrange a very comfortable car for our longer trip out to the hills, but they also helped us map out a sensible itinerary and went the extra mile by pre-booking our timed-entry tickets for both main attractions. Took all the usual faff and queueing stress completely out of the equation! It felt like they genuinely anticipated our needs as tourists. The whole experience was seamless, thanks to their thoughtf

We absolutely loved this beautiful boutique hotel. Throughout our stay, we were received with warmth by truly some of the most hospitable hosts we have encountered, and we are seasoned travellers. The owners and staff at this hotel are really wonderful people. They did their utmost to make sure that we were taken care of. We also really enjoyed the food they served, as well as drinking tea while admiring the forest and mountain views from the hotel. Highly recommend for anyone visiting ZJJ. We will always remember our time there.

We had an excellent experience! The rooms were comfortable, the environment was clean and well-sanitized, and the staff were very welcoming and considerate to us. Additionally, they offered a variety of entertaining activities, enriching our trip and making it even more enjoyable. It's the perfect place to escape the hustle and reconnect with nature's beauty. Excellent location with a short walk to Zhangjiajie National Park. The nearby village is charming to watch sunrise and sunset. Clean and tranquil environment. Guesthouse beds come with mattresses equipped with heaters for the cold weather. Anthony, the host, not only speaks immaculate English but is also very knowledgeable about the place. He's incredibly nice and helpful in purchasing our national park tickets, planned our itineraries, arranged all our transportation, cooked breakfast and dinner for us, and ensuring everything went smoothly. We really enjoyed our stay at Mountainside Guesthouse and highly recommend it for your visit. That was our first trip to China, and our family had a wonderful and memorable time in Zhangjiajie.
