This was a one night stopover on our road trip from San Jose to the Pacific Coast. The Cabinas Brisas is a family run Soda House with a few rooms with basic facilities that would suit seasoned travellers. The owners are extremely friendly and provided us with an evening meal and breakfast, both of which were cooked to order and very satisfying. The room was comfortable and had air conditioning and was good for our one night stay.

YES, you must go there. Great place with lots of activities. Travis took us out in the nice old life boat 'Nicoya Queen'. Went to the prisoner island and Travis made the best lobster we've ever had. Thanks :) The breakfast is excellent. Nice traditional Tico breakfast or best: Travis' special egg benedict! Not to forget: You can also borrow canoes and go on a trip yourself. Beautiful cabin, furnished to a high quality with lovely bed linen and towels. Set in an amazing forest where you can walk, see birds and the trees and plants many of which have information about them. There is a pool ideal for cooling down. Very peaceful at night.
