Manfred, the host, turned out to be a very resourceful and kind person. Not only did he smoothly resolve the initial booking issue (not his fault), he also helped me with my soaking wet gear (rain riding) and arranged an appointment in a garage, so I could get my motorbike repaired without delays, on a Saturday! He found a respectable, local garage, guided me all the way there and waited for almost two hours until he was sure I was dealt with properly. In the end, he treated me to lunch, so I didn't have to travel hungry. Amazing person, very reliable and kind. Highly recommended!!!

We were actually offered on check in an upgrade to a luxury room in the main hotel, which we took . The hotel was lovely and the Staff were even better. We were very impressed by the breakfast next morning, it was comprehensive hot and cold, fresh fruit … and the girls serving were delightful .

    Perfect if you want to scope out some wineries of the Southern Wine Road by bike. There’s also lots of castles and forts in the area. France is only a stone throw away with the German Wine Gate just shy of the border. There’s even a thermal bath with a lovely spa garden and a huge kids playground two towns over.
